Israel Defends West Bank Settlements at UN Security Council Amid European Warnings

In a special United Nations Security Council meeting convened by European countries on August 12, 2026, the escalating violence and settlement activity in the West Bank were intensely debated. Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, firmly stated, "We are not going anywhere," rejecting the term "settler violence" as unfairly stigmatizing an entire population for the actions of a radical minority.
