IDF Condemns Settler Siege on Palestinian Village of Kuseira Near Nablus

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) strongly condemned the siege imposed by Israeli settlers on the Palestinian village of Kuseira, located south of Nablus, on Tuesday. The settlers blocked access roads to the village and cut off water and electricity supplies to the residents. This action was reportedly in retaliation for the murder of two Israelis near the nearby village of Tal about three weeks ago.

In an official statement, the IDF described the settlers' activities as "illegal, reprehensible, and unacceptable," emphasizing that such actions harm the daily lives of the Palestinian villagers. The military also noted that in recent weeks, there have been multiple reports of Israeli civilians entering Palestinian homes and lands in the Kuseira and Jalud areas and taking control of them.

The IDF further addressed an incident involving an ambulance crossing near Kuseira. While the ambulance was authorized to provide medical assistance, Israeli forces identified Israeli civilians inside it who allegedly attempted to enter a closed military zone under the ambulance's cover. The ambulance was inspected by military personnel and later by Judea and Samaria police. The IDF stressed that it regularly facilitates the movement of medical teams, including allowing ambulances to pass without inspection when coordinated in advance.
