Democrats Chair Yair Golan Expresses Trust in Mansour Abbas and Supports Cooperation with Ra'am

Yair Golan, chairman of the Israeli political party The Democrats, expressed confidence in Mansour Abbas, leader of the United Arab List (Ra'am), and in Yoav Segalovich, whose potential joining of Ra'am is currently under consideration. In a radio interview with Al-Nas, Golan emphasized that he has no doubts about their good intentions and highlighted the importance of political cooperation between The Democrats and Ra'am in forming a viable government alternative.

Golan stated that The Democrats aim to provide the Arab electorate with genuine influence, noting that the balance of power in the next government will likely grant his party significant ministerial portfolios. He stressed that effective combat against crime requires political strength. Golan also welcomed Segalovich's possible integration into Ra'am, calling it an important move that underscores the essential Jewish-Arab partnership, which he described as the only future for the State of Israel.

Regarding the upcoming elections, Golan urged efforts to increase voter turnout among the Arab public to create a real political alternative. His remarks reflect ongoing discussions about coalition possibilities and the role of Arab parties in Israeli politics.
