Netanyahu Forms Two Secret Advisory Forums for Security and Political Strategy

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently established two small, secretive advisory forums that meet regularly, approximately every one to two weeks, according to a report by Shahar Glick on Kan News. One forum focuses on security and strategic issues, while the other concentrates on political campaign strategy ahead of upcoming elections. These meetings occur both face-to-face and via phone calls, during which Netanyahu shares key messages he wants to disseminate publicly and seeks advice on handling current matters.

The security forum, referred to as the "Officers Forum," includes senior reserve officers Effi Eitam, Hazi Nahama, Erez Wiener, and Yiftah Ron Tal. This group convenes weekly or biweekly to discuss security consultations. The political forum, a more recent creation, meets roughly every week and a half through phone and in-person meetings. Its members are Justice Minister Yariv Levin, Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Shikli, and Energy Minister Eli Cohen. The Likud party denied the existence of these forums in response to the report.
