Netanyahu Holds Strong Lead Over Gadi Eizenkot Among Small Party Voters for Prime Minister

A recent poll surveying undecided voters and supporters of smaller political parties in Israel reveals a significant preference for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot as the preferred candidate for prime minister. According to the poll, 59% of respondents favored Netanyahu, while 28.6% preferred Eizenkot, with 12.5% undecided.

The strongest support for Netanyahu came from voters backing parties led by Ofer Winter and Moshe Feiglin, with 84.8% and 80.3% respectively favoring Netanyahu. Similarly, 73.5% of voters for the New Economic Party led by Yaron Zelicha and 71.6% of Blue and White party voters led by Benny Gantz preferred Netanyahu. Netanyahu also led among supporters of a potential list headed by Gilad Erdan and Nili Edelstein, with 66.8% support.

Conversely, voters for the Zionist Home and reservists party led by Yoaz Hendel and Hili Tropper showed a reversed trend, with 70.6% favoring Eizenkot and only 14.1% supporting Netanyahu. Eizenkot also led among those who declared they would vote for "another party," with 63.2% support compared to 15.8% for Netanyahu.

Interestingly, among respondents who had not yet decided which party to vote for, a majority already expressed a preference for prime minister: 54.9% chose Netanyahu, 33.5% Eizenkot, and 11.6% remained undecided. Overall, the poll highlights a clear lead for Netanyahu by over 30 percentage points among this diverse group of voters.

The poll provides insight into the political landscape ahead of upcoming elections, showing Netanyahu's strong appeal even among voters of smaller parties and the undecided, while Eizenkot retains significant support within specific factions.
