Southampton Set to Loan Manchester City Young Star Devine Mbama

Southampton, aiming to secure promotion to the Premier League after narrowly missing out due to non-football reasons, is preparing to strengthen its squad by acquiring Manchester City’s young forward Devine Mbama on loan. The 21-year-old striker, who impressed during Manchester City’s preseason by scoring against Inter Milan and assisting against Atletico Madrid, is expected to join the Championship club soon. Mbama has a notable record with England’s youth teams, scoring five goals in seven appearances, and has been hailed in the English media as the standout player of Manchester City’s preseason, praised for his offensive contributions and growing reputation.

Mbama developed in West Ham United’s youth academy before transferring to Manchester City. Last season, he was loaned to Stoke City in the Championship, where he scored five goals in 26 appearances as a rotational player.
