Shiba Medical Center Unveils Renovated Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Ward

Shiba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer held a celebratory event to mark the reopening of its fully renovated pediatric hemato-oncology ward. The extensive refurbishment was carried out through the efforts of the nonprofit organization Rachashai Lev, which supports children with cancer and their families, and was made possible by a generous donation from Yossi Dahan. The renovation included upgrading the inpatient and treatment areas to create a more comfortable and supportive environment for children, many of whom spend extended periods in the ward, and their families.

The event was attended by representatives from Shiba Medical Center’s management, Rachashai Lev leadership, donor Yossi Dahan, medical staff, and patients with their families. Rachashai Lev emphasized that alongside high-quality medical care, the physical environment plays a crucial role in helping children and their families cope with the challenges of cancer treatment. The organization has long been dedicated to improving oncology ward conditions and advancing projects that ease the treatment experience.

Shimi Gashid, CEO of Rachashai Lev, highlighted the importance of creating a space that offers not only top medical care but also warmth, security, and humanity. Donor Yossi Dahan reflected on the meaning of giving, expressing gratitude for being able to contribute and praising Rachashai Lev’s vital work. The renovated ward aims to provide a more pleasant and tailored setting for young patients and their families during difficult times.
