Rachashai Lev Renovates Pediatric Oncology Ward at Tel Hashomer to Enhance Patient Care
The pediatric oncology ward at Tel Hashomer Medical Center has undergone a comprehensive renovation aimed at improving the hospitalization environment for children undergoing cancer treatments and their families. The upgrade included refurbishing the ward's spaces to provide optimal conditions for young patients during their extended treatment periods. The renovation event was attended by the hospital's management, representatives from the Rachashai Lev association, donor Yossi Dahan, medical staff, children, and their families.
Rachashai Lev emphasized that alongside advanced medical treatment, the hospitalization environment significantly impacts the patients' and families' sense of security, well-being, and quality of life during their illness. The organization has long worked to enhance conditions in oncology wards and promote initiatives to ease the treatment experience. Shimi Gashaid, CEO of Rachashai Lev, stated, "Many children spend long periods in the ward. It was important for us to create an environment that offers not only top-level medical care but also a sense of security, warmth, and humanity. We thank Yossi for his generous contribution and partnership that made the ward a more pleasant and suitable place for children and their families."
