Israeli National Security Minister Releases AI Video Depicting Terrorist Complaining About Prison Conditions
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and the Otzma Yehudit party released a controversial election video created using artificial intelligence, showing a terrorist named Ali Jamal crying over deteriorated conditions in Israeli security prisons. The video depicts Jamal lamenting the harsh prison reforms, including reduced food portions and limited amenities, with his past photo displayed above him. In the clip, the terrorist says, "Mother, you promised us a pita for Shabbat," highlighting complaints about the minimal food and conditions.
The video ends with the slogan, "Ben-Gvir's diet - the desire for terror is off the menu," emphasizing the minister's tough stance on terrorism. These prison reforms were implemented following the appointment of Kobi Yakobi as the Israel Prison Service commissioner, who reduced terrorist prisoners' conditions to the legal minimum. Measures included canceling the spokesperson role in security prisons, changing food menus, removing televisions from cells, drastically cutting yard and shower hours, closing canteens, and canceling family visits and deposits.
The video aims to showcase the government's hardline policies against terrorism ahead of upcoming elections, with Otzma Yehudit urging supporters to join their campaign for victory.
