IDF Investigates Kite Found Near Gaza Border in Shuva Settlement

A kite was detected on October 10 in the Shuva settlement near the Gaza border, east of Alumim. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated the incident is under investigation, and no suspicious materials were found on the kite during security sweeps. The military has not confirmed whether the kite crossed into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. If confirmed, this would be the third such incident since October 7. Tamir Aidan, head of the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council, asserted that the kite originated from Gaza and warned of the potential danger, saying, "This is a very serious incident and must not be taken lightly. Today it is a kite without an explosive, but tomorrow the same method could carry explosives." The IDF continues to monitor and assess the situation amid ongoing security concerns along the Gaza border.
