Truck Driver Caught After Hit-and-Run and Offensive Gesture on West Bank Road

A truck driver was arrested last weekend after allegedly hitting a private vehicle on Road 60 in the West Bank and fleeing the scene without exchanging details. The driver also made an obscene gesture toward the female driver of the other vehicle. Police pursued and stopped the truck, and during questioning, the driver admitted to using cannabis and consuming alcohol. He is a resident of the Samaria region and had his driver's license suspended for 60 days following a police hearing. The traffic accident investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident, two Palestinian suspects were detained by Ariel police station officers for repeatedly harassing road users on Road 55 in Samaria. Their arrest followed multiple citizen complaints about their behavior and the negative impact on drivers' sense of security. Both suspects were taken in for questioning.

Additionally, Ariel police conducted focused enforcement against dangerous traffic violations in the area, including risky overtaking and crossing solid lines. Over 200 traffic fines were issued in the Samaria region during the week.
