Bono Opens Butcher-to-Burger Concept in Sharon Region with Premium Meat and Affordable Prices
Bono, a new butcher-to-burger restaurant, has opened in the Emek Hefer industrial area in the Sharon region, bringing 35 years of meat expertise to the grill. Unlike typical burger joints, Bono operates as a full meat factory offering a wide range of products including 220-gram classic burgers priced at 59 shekels, with combo options including fries and a drink for 79 shekels. Larger 440-gram burgers are also available, alongside premium add-ons like foie gras, smoked asado, and vegan cheddar, all served on brioche buns or gluten-free rolls. The menu is kosher and features sauces such as chimichurri, barbecue, and garlic aioli.
Beyond burgers, Bono offers a variety of steaks including dry-aged prime rib from Nebraska and local Holstein cuts, lamb ribs, entrecote, and sirloin from Israeli pasture-raised cows, with prices starting at 55 shekels per 100 grams. The meat is grilled over charcoal, emphasizing quality and traditional preparation methods. Soon, a rotisserie oven will be added to serve rotisserie chicken at competitive prices.
The spacious venue is decorated with nostalgic antiques and memorabilia. Behind a glass wall, customers can watch the butchers prepare and grind the meat, which is a blend of asado, neck, ribs, and entrecote cap. The entire process from cow disassembly to grilling happens on-site. Bono shares its building with Mazal Shor, a large 250-square-meter butcher shop founded by Dvir Israeli, who comes from a family with deep roots in the meat business. The meat factory and butcher shop opened 10 months ago, with the burger restaurant launching just last week.
The butcher shop features a 12-meter display with 13 types of entrecote and other cuts, including a Jerusalem mixed grill blend. A large glass-walled aging fridge stores half cows for dry aging. Plans include a self-service kiosk and Friday Shabbat meal packages. The location offers convenient parking and affordable beer, making it an attractive spot for weekend visits after the summer heat. Bono operates Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 to 22:00 and Friday from 11:00 to 16:00 at 21 Tzvi HaNahal Street, Emek Hefer industrial zone.
