Dana Frieder says returning to work after birth is heartbreaking
Dana Frieder and Yehuda Levi became parents for the first time in March, when they welcomed their first daughter, Naia Daphni Levi. The couple, who have been together for three years, had openly wanted to start a family, and that wish was fulfilled about three months ago.
Frieder has now spent three months as a proud mother, but her maternity leave ended, at least for one day, as she returned to a photo shoot. In an Instagram story, she wrote, “No, I am not a summer camp counselor. I am a mother with a cooler, a pump and ice packs, leaving for a photo shoot for the first time, and my heart hurts.” She added, “It physically hurts in the heart, I feel it.”
Levi stayed home to watch over baby Naia, and she was expected to join him a few hours later. The couple has been photographed several times around Tel Aviv since the birth, often with the baby stroller, as they adjusted to life as new parents. The article does not say when Frieder will fully return to her routine, only that this was her first day back at work after maternity leave.
