Antisemitic Incident Sparks Physical Altercation at Manila Airport

A physical confrontation occurred between an Israeli and an American passenger at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, Philippines, following alleged antisemitic remarks. The Israeli passenger, Noam Shimon Rosenberg, 37, claimed that the American, Kent Scott Lee, 54, directed severe antisemitic insults at him, including statements such as "Hitler was right, it's a shame he didn't finish killing the Jews." The incident took place in the domestic flight waiting area as both men awaited flights to Subic.

According to local reports, Rosenberg reacted by kicking Lee's luggage on a baggage cart and subsequently attacking him, causing damage to a nearby marble table at a food stall. Lee offered a different account, asserting that Rosenberg interrupted a private conversation and assaulted him without provocation. Video footage captured Lee telling Rosenberg after the altercation that he "proved his point" and that Rosenberg was likely to be arrested.

Airport police intervened, separating and detaining both men for questioning. They were then taken to Pasay City General Hospital for medical examinations. The case was forwarded to the Pasay City Prosecutor's Office, with both individuals facing legal proceedings on charges related to disturbing the public order.
