Dusan Miltic Explains Why He Joined Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club

Dusan Miltic, the center who recently joined Hapoel Jerusalem, revealed in a Serbian media interview the reasons behind his move to the Israeli basketball team. After two years playing for Al Riyadi in Lebanon, Miltic sought a new challenge and was attracted by Hapoel Jerusalem's ambition and well-organized club structure. He noted that although Cluj was an option, he wanted to advance his career by joining a team aiming to win the EuroCup and qualify for the EuroLeague next season.

Miltic highlighted the influence of new coach Sasha Obradovic, who showed a strong desire to work with him and clearly communicated his role on the team. This personal connection was a key factor in his decision to sign. He also mentioned that the club had wanted to recruit him since the start of the calendar year, but the transfer only materialized in the summer when both parties expressed mutual belief in his potential.

Additionally, Miltic expressed excitement about playing EuroCup home games in Serbia, which will allow him to spend time with his family and community after a year away from home. Hapoel Jerusalem, owned by Matan Adelson and coached by Obradovic, has built an ambitious roster this season with the goal of achieving significant success in European basketball.
