Dušan Miltic Explains Why He Joined Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club

Dušan Miltic, the new center for Hapoel Jerusalem, revealed in a Serbian interview the reasons behind his decision to join the Israeli basketball team. After two years playing for Al Riyadi in Lebanon, Miltic sought a new challenge and was attracted by Hapoel Jerusalem's ambitious project under owner Matan Adelson and new coach Sasha Obradovic. He emphasized the club's strong organization and desire to grow, aiming to win the EuroCup and qualify for the EuroLeague next season.

Miltic highlighted Obradovic's personal interest in him as a key factor in signing with the team, noting the coach's clear vision for his role. Although the club wanted to recruit him as early as January, the transfer only materialized in the summer, with Miltic appreciating that Hapoel Jerusalem showed genuine belief in his abilities. He expressed enthusiasm about playing in Serbia, where the team will host EuroCup games, as it allows him to spend time with his family and community after a year away from home.

Hapoel Jerusalem is building a particularly ambitious roster this season, aiming to overcome past disappointments in European competitions. Miltic's addition is part of the club's strategy to advance in continental basketball and reach the EuroLeague stage.
