Pollster Filber Warns Left Seeks to Weaken Right Through Haredi Votes

Pollster Shlomo Filber warned in a Thursday interview on Galei Yisrael radio that the political left has a deliberate plan to dismantle the right-wing bloc by targeting the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community ahead of the upcoming elections. Filber explained that the left is not trying to negotiate with the right but aims to break it apart, with the latest focus on the Haredim. He described the left's strategy as a two-step process: first, sowing discord within the Haredi community to suppress voter turnout, and second, creating fringe parties that fail to pass the electoral threshold, thereby wasting right-wing votes.

Filber highlighted that a current goal of this campaign is to reduce the Shas party's Knesset seats to six. He accused the left of funding this effort with substantial financial resources and employing many Haredi public relations agents. Filber also expressed disappointment over what he described as numerous collaborators within the Haredi community who, motivated by money from the left, harm their own political camp.
