Three Fires Break Out in West Bank Including Near Hebron and Ariel

Three separate fires erupted in the West Bank on Thursday morning, affecting areas near Hebron, Ma'ale Amos, and Ariel. Firefighters continue battling a blaze on Hill 26 north of Kiryat Arba, working to prevent the fire from reaching residential areas. In Ma'ale Amos, a mobile home used for housing was completely destroyed by fire. Concurrently, about 14 firefighting teams are combating a fire near Beit Dror, struggling to contain flames driven by strong winds.

Additionally, firefighters from the Shomron Regional Station are addressing a fire along Highway 5 caused by a vehicle that caught fire and spread to nearby open land. Five teams are involved, and the fire has disrupted traffic, prompting police to close the westbound Trans-Samaria Highway to ensure safety and allow firefighting operations.

Deputy Commissioner Tamir Erez, commander of the Judea Regional Station, reported that firefighting efforts began early in the afternoon with multiple significant incidents. Teams first contained the fire near Kiryat Arba, then redirected resources to Beit Dror with support from the Southern District. At Ma'ale Amos, firefighters controlled the blaze that destroyed the caravan housing soldiers near the settlement entrance, with no injuries reported. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire in Ma'ale Amos.
