Nova Reports Record $255 Million Revenue in Q2 Amid AI Chip Boom
Nova, a leading manufacturer of semiconductor measurement equipment, reported record financial results for the second quarter of 2026, driven by the ongoing AI revolution and increased chip investments. The company posted revenues of $255 million, marking an 8% increase from the previous quarter and a 16% rise compared to Q2 2025. This quarter was the first time Nova's revenue surpassed the $250 million mark. Net income under GAAP was $75 million, or $2.20 per share, up 8% from the prior quarter and 3% year-over-year. Adjusted net income, excluding one-time items, reached $86.5 million or $2.51 per share, a 14% increase compared to the same quarter last year.
Despite the strong revenue growth, Nova experienced a slight decline in gross margin to 56.5%, down from 57.7% in Q1 and 57.8% in Q2 2025. Operating expenses rose to $68 million from $64.9 million in the previous quarter. Looking ahead, the company forecasts continued growth in Q3, expecting revenues between $277 million and $287 million and adjusted earnings per share between $2.70 and $2.85.
CEO Gabi Weisman highlighted that the results reflect the company’s strategic long-term plan, emphasizing expansion of its customer base, increased market share, and deeper engagement with leading chip manufacturers. This positions Nova with improved visibility and confidence for upcoming quarters, supported by the sustained surge in semiconductor demand fueled by AI advancements.
