HOT Mobile CEO Ilan Brook Resigns Following Sale Approval to Israeli Investors
Ilan Brook, CEO of HOT Mobile, announced his decision to step down after seven years leading the company and about 15 years with the HOT Group. He will remain in his role until the ownership transfer is completed to ensure management continuity and a smooth handover to the new owners. This announcement follows the approval of HOT Mobile's sale to Israeli investors: Delek Israel (40%), Keystone Infrastructure Fund (40%), and Leumi Partners (20%). The deal values HOT Mobile at 1.8 billion shekels. Upon completion, Patrick Drahi's Altice Group will transfer ownership of the cellular company to the buyers.
Brook was appointed CEO in 2019 after serving as HOT Group's business division VP and HOT Mobile's sales VP. During his tenure, the subscriber base grew to over two million, 5G network coverage expanded, and the company's business sector operations strengthened. Brook stated, "It is time for me to conclude this role and move on to the next chapter in my career," while committing to lead the company through the ownership transition. HOT Group CEO Tal Granot thanked him for his leadership, praising his responsibility, courage, and determination.
