Magen David Adom's Southern Volunteers Enjoy Family Fun Day to Honor Their Life-Saving Work

Over a thousand participants, including volunteers from Magen David Adom's 'Hatzalah South' organization and their families, gathered last Sunday for a special day of fun and bonding at the Merhavim Education Complex swimming pool. The event was meticulously organized by Hatzalah South's leadership in close cooperation with the national Magen David Adom rescue organization, under which the volunteers operate.

The day featured a variety of activities including giant trampolines, games, and a festive atmosphere with joyous Hasidic music. Families enjoyed a lavish lunch followed by treats such as sweets and ice pops. A highlight was a magic show by Aaron the Magician, who entertained children with impressive tricks while emphasizing skill and dexterity.

Rabbi Michael Schwartz, chairman of Hatzalah South, expressed satisfaction with the event, noting the importance of providing volunteers and their families a well-deserved break after a challenging year of life-saving efforts. Representatives from Magen David Adom, including national volunteer coordinator Itzik Goldfarb and regional managers, warmly thanked the volunteers' families for their ongoing support and sacrifice.

The event concluded with families departing refreshed and grateful for the thoughtful planning and meaningful experience. Hatzalah South volunteers are part of a broader network of rescue organizations operating nationwide under Magen David Adom, all adhering to strict halachic guidelines. This network includes numerous regional Hatzalah groups across Israel, emphasizing community-based emergency response and volunteerism.
