Nearly 10,000 Yeshiva Students to Gather in Beit Shemesh for Torah Completion Ceremony

Preparations are nearing completion for a major Torah honor event in Beit Shemesh, scheduled for this coming Tuesday. Approximately 10,000 yeshiva students from across Israel will convene at the city's Amphi Park to celebrate the conclusion of the third cycle of the "Talmudo Beyado" program. The event will be led by prominent rabbis including Rabbi David Lando, Rabbi Moshe Hirsch, Rabbi Matzia Bergman, Rabbi David Poversky, and Rabbi David Cohen.

The ceremony will highlight the completion of the third cycle of the Torah novellae program, in which thousands of yeshiva students submitted Torah insights reviewed by a rabbinical committee headed by leading yeshiva heads. Winners will be announced and awarded certificates and scholarships. The event will feature performances by renowned singer Mordechai Ben David, singer and composer Bentzi Stein, and Yoeli Dikman's orchestra.

Organizers are also preparing a historic musical production titled "Ashira Oz," which will bring the traditional prayers of the yeshiva halls to the large stage ahead of the High Holy Days, combining prayer, song, and melodies. Additionally, a presentation called "Torah Shelamadeti Ba'af" by Rabbi Israel Goldwasser will honor the dedication of Torah scholars throughout generations.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Union of Yeshiva Students and the Haredi Education Department of the Beit Shemesh municipality. Mayor Shmuel Greenberg expressed pride in hosting the event and noted extensive efforts to prepare the venue and logistics for the thousands of attendees. Entry is restricted to students from major yeshivas and graduates of smaller yeshivas advancing to larger ones, requiring prior registration and tickets. Nearly 10,000 tickets have already been reserved, with only a limited number remaining before registration closes.
