Smotrich Says Northern Fire Tests Netanyahu’s Dahieh Doctrine

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded to Hezbollah attacks in northern Israel, saying the rocket fire is a test of the “Dahieh equation” that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would apply. In a post on X, Smotrich urged Netanyahu to implement that policy “with determination and force” and to strike buildings in Dahieh immediately.

Smotrich said the country is in “critical days” that will shape the region for years. He added that Israel had promised security for residents of the north and now must deliver on that promise. His remarks came amid continued attacks on northern communities by Hezbollah.
