Orly Weinerman Returns to Tel Aviv Streets After Two Years in Jerusalem

Orly Weinerman, the 55-year-old former star of the Israeli TV show "Shemesh," has been spotted back in Tel Aviv after spending the past two years living in Jerusalem. Previously revealed by mako in July 2024 to be residing in Jerusalem under the alias Shira, Weinerman was seen recently carrying shopping bags and walking among cafes on Shenkin Street in central Tel Aviv. This area, reminiscent of her peak popularity in the late 1990s, is regaining its vibrant atmosphere from that era.

Weinerman had largely disappeared from the public eye since the early 2010s. Her brief returns to public attention included controversial anti-Zionist posts on Facebook during Operation Protective Edge and rumors linking her romantically to the son of the late Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi. While she never confirmed or denied this relationship, she publicly expressed support for him when he faced trial in 2012.

Her recent attempt to leave Israel via Jordan was unsuccessful, and now she appears to have settled back in Tel Aviv. The mako paparazzi captured her navigating the city's cafes, signaling a return to the urban life she once knew well.
