Jerusalem Unveils Official Logo for 60th Anniversary of City’s Reunification

Jerusalem is preparing to mark the 60th anniversary of its reunification with a year-long series of events starting September 1, 2026, and continuing until after Jerusalem Day on June 4, 2027. The celebrations will include dozens of cultural, heritage, educational, sports, and community activities across the city, highlighting Jerusalem’s history as the unified capital of Israel.

The newly revealed official logo features blue and gold colors symbolizing majesty, honor, and glory. It incorporates key city symbols: the ancient walls representing heritage and history, the Chords Bridge symbolizing renewal and innovation, and the light rail reflecting the city’s transportation development and connectivity. This comes as Jerusalem prepares to expand its light rail network with the launch of the first segment of the L3 line, connecting Malha Sports Complex to the Tzurim station.

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion emphasized the city’s vibrant present and hopeful future, calling the 60th anniversary a chance to celebrate Jerusalem’s achievements, unity, and rapid development. He noted that the logo captures the blend of tradition and progress, symbolizing the city’s enduring pride and love as Israel’s eternal capital.
