Israeli Health Ministry Warns Against 'Magic Honey' Weight Loss Product Containing Banned Substance

The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued a warning to the public against purchasing and consuming the product known as "Magic Honey," also marketed as "Honey for Weight Loss." Laboratory tests revealed that the product contains sibutramine, an active pharmaceutical ingredient banned in Israel and many other countries due to serious health risks. Consumption of sibutramine can lead to severe side effects such as increased blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, anxiety, insomnia, heart attacks, strokes, and psychiatric disorders. There have been previous reports of hospitalizations in Israel linked to products containing this substance. The Ministry urges consumers to buy medications and dietary supplements only from authorized sources and to avoid purchases through social media and unverified websites.
