Israeli Central Elections Committee Bans Party Representatives from Sharing Voter Information at Polls

Noam Solberg, Deputy President of the Supreme Court and Chair of the Central Elections Committee, has ruled that members of ballot committees and observers representing candidate lists and parties are prohibited from reporting voters' identities during election day. The Central Elections Committee issued a statement clarifying that sharing any information about voters' participation, including the time of voting and the type of polling station (such as hospital polling stations or those for people with mobility impairments), violates privacy rights. This prohibition is based on the Privacy Protection Law, which forbids disclosing details about the act of voting and its circumstances to protect voter privacy.
