Israeli Navy Conducts Large-Scale Multi-Front Drill Amid Revolutionary Guards Threats

In response to escalating threats from Iran's Revolutionary Guards to target strategic assets, the Israeli Navy is conducting a comprehensive multi-front military exercise along Israel's coastline and in the Red Sea. The drill simulates defensive battles from Shavei Zion in the north to Ashdod in the south, including operations near Eilat, focusing on protecting energy facilities, merchant vessels, and ports against missile attacks, drones, and sea infiltrations.

The exercise involves hundreds of naval personnel, missile boats, submarines, and security flotillas, aiming to enhance operational readiness and inter-unit coordination. It also includes commando raids on Israeli beaches, replicating scenarios similar to the October 7 infiltration at Zikim beach, where the Navy previously failed to prevent an attack. Forces from Shayetet 13 and the newly operational naval air squadron, equipped with recently acquired Black Hawk helicopters, are participating.

The drill underscores the Navy's preparedness to counter simultaneous threats from Lebanon, Gaza, and the sea, safeguarding critical infrastructure such as gas rigs and ports. The Israeli military emphasizes the exercise's role in strengthening defense capabilities amid regional tensions.
