QuantHealth Raises $45 Million to Advance AI-Powered Clinical Trial Simulations
QuantHealth, an AI-driven clinical trial simulation startup, has secured $45 million in a Series B funding round led by Qumra Capital, with participation from investors including Pitango HealthTech, Sanofi Ventures, Artofin Venture Capital, Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments, GC Ventures, NewHealth Ventures, Shoni Top Ventures, and Esplanade Ventures. This latest round brings the company's total funding to $75 million since its founding in 2020 by Or Inbar and Arnon Horev. QuantHealth operates from offices in New York and Tel Aviv with a team of approximately 85 employees.
Clinical trials remain among the most costly and uncertain phases in drug development, with over 90% of drugs failing to reach the market and about 75% failing due to efficacy and safety issues. Facing increasing pressure to accelerate drug development amid rising operational costs and competition from the East, pharmaceutical and biotech companies are adopting predictive technologies to improve decision-making. QuantHealth’s AI-based simulations enable these companies to move beyond traditional trial planning reliant on historical data and subjective assumptions, significantly reducing risks and inefficiencies before patient recruitment or capital allocation.
Or Inbar, CEO and co-founder, explained that current clinical development decisions often rely on costly trial-and-error methods in real-world settings. QuantHealth’s predictive simulations allow clinical and commercial teams to evaluate decisions early, minimizing risk and expense. To date, the company has simulated over 600 clinical trials across 30 medical indications, achieving prediction accuracy of up to 90%. QuantHealth plans to expand its simulations to more than 40 indications, focusing on oncology, cardiometabolic diseases, and inflammatory conditions.
