Bereaved Families Urge Netanyahu to Halt Trump Plan for Gaza Until Hamas Is Fully Dismantled

Bereaved families affiliated with the Heroism Forum have issued an urgent appeal to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, opposing the advancement of the Trump administration's plan for Gaza. Their call comes amid the entry of the Israeli Peace Council into the Gaza Strip and emerging restrictions on IDF operations there. The families demand that Netanyahu stop promoting the plan until Hamas is completely dismantled.

In a letter from the forum, they recalled the Israeli government's repeated commitments at the war cabinet level to demilitarize Gaza and decisively defeat Hamas, ensuring it holds no political or military control over the territory. They emphasized that the Palestinian Authority was explicitly not to govern Gaza and that Israel would retain full security control over the area, with the IDF maintaining security "from the river to the sea."

The families strongly criticized the plan, arguing it would perpetuate Hamas's rule and transfer security control to Palestinian hands other than Israel’s. They stressed their personal sacrifice, noting that their fallen loved ones fought and died for Israel's security and victory, not to restore a murderous terror regime on Israel's southern border. They declared they would not accept a reality where their heroes' sacrifices enable a new terror rule in Gaza.

The forum concluded by urging Netanyahu to publicly oppose any arrangement that does not include the total destruction of Hamas, both politically and militarily, and to ensure that Israel’s security remains solely under the IDF’s control without foreign involvement.
