Haredi Court Welcomes Released Zion Prisoners After Military Detention

On Sunday, the rabbinical court of the Edah HaChareidis held a reception for a group of Zion prisoners who had spent approximately 30 days in military prison. These prisoners, who are affiliated with the Edah, came to the court accompanied by Rabbi Shimon Shisha, chairman of the Aid and Advice Center and emissary of the court for prisoners, along with community elders from Jerusalem.

The day-long meeting involved the rabbinical judges personally inquiring about the prisoners' well-being and discussing halachic issues that arose during their incarceration, including matters related to mezuzah, ritual hand washing, and child education. The session concluded with blessings and personal encouragement for the prisoners and their families to continue their Torah studies diligently and to stand firm against external pressures and new governmental decrees.
