Earlier the same day, US President Donald Trump intensified threats against Tehran, declaring it was "their last chance to sign the deal." Trump also stated that negotiations with Iran are still ongoing despite contrary messages from the Islamic Republic.

When asked about the possibility of Iran attempting to collect tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump responded firmly that he would not allow it, asserting US control over the strait and describing a naval blockade enforced by the US Navy. This statement came as the IDF continued its operational readiness, including air force activities under the codename "Operation Roaring Lion."

Addressing questions about his repeated cancellations of strikes against Iran, at least five times since April to allow for negotiations, Trump said he was uncertain about the outcome but wanted to give Iran every last opportunity before resorting to harsher measures. The heightened alert status of the IDF reflects the volatile security environment in the Middle East and the close military cooperation between Israel and the US in response to Iran's actions.
