Israeli Peace Council States IDF Withdrawal from Gaza Depends on Complete Disarmament

The Israeli Peace Council commented on a recent meeting between UN envoy Tor Wennesland and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing it as productive and detailed. Both parties reportedly share a mutual understanding of the ultimate goals, which include the complete disarmament of the Gaza Strip and the transition to civilian governance. Contrary to inaccurate reports, the council emphasized that the full withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) beyond the designated 'yellow line' will only occur after Hamas completes the disarmament process. This disarmament covers light and heavy weapons as well as tunnels.
