Israeli Ministers Urge Netanyahu to Halt International Force Entry into Gaza

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Settlement Minister Orit Strook have urgently called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to immediately stop the deployment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) into the Gaza Strip. The ministers claim that the cabinet's decision to allow the force's entry was based on incorrect information. They criticized a roadmap document published by the Peace Council, describing it as dangerous to Israel and fundamentally contradicting the goals of disarming Hamas and demilitarizing Gaza.

In an urgent letter to Netanyahu, Smotrich and Strook demanded an immediate convening of the political-security cabinet to adopt a preventive decision that would block the implementation of the Peace Council's roadmap. They insisted that the council must revise the plan to align with Israel's war objectives and commitments. The ministers emphasized the need to ensure that any international involvement does not undermine Israel's security priorities in Gaza.
