Two Killed in Deadly Truck Collision on West Bank's Route 60

Two people died this Monday morning in a collision between two trucks on Route 60 near the West Bank settlement of Rechelim. Firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Services extricated both victims, one from each truck. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams declared one dead at the scene, while the second was evacuated in critical condition but later also succumbed to injuries. Reshef Omer Hamed, the shift commander at the Fire and Rescue Services, described the scene as "lethal and complex," noting the rapid use of specialized rescue tools to free the trapped individuals.

Earlier on the same stretch of Route 60 near the settlement of Ofra, a 25-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured and evacuated to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem with multiple trauma injuries. In Tel Aviv, a man in his 40s suffered severe head injuries while riding an electric scooter on Shlomo Road in the southern part of the city and was taken to Ichilov Hospital. Additionally, overnight in Kiryat Motzkin, a 45-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by a car and was transported to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

These incidents highlight a particularly dangerous day on Israeli roads, with multiple severe traffic accidents occurring across different regions.
