Six Arrested for Stone-Throwing and Spitting at Armenian Church in Jerusalem's Old City

In Jerusalem's Old City, six Jewish suspects were arrested on suspicion of spitting and throwing stones at the Armenian Church located in the Armenian Quarter. The incident occurred late at night between Sunday and Monday, targeting a main pedestrian route used by Jews heading to Mount Zion and the Western Wall. Following a police report, officers from the David District conducted extensive searches that led to the suspects' detention, including a minor.

After initial questioning, three of the suspects were brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a detention extension hearing, while the remaining three were released under restrictive conditions, including a ban from entering the Old City area. The police condemned the acts, emphasizing that "the Israel Police views any manifestation of violence and racism with utmost severity" and pledged to continue efforts to identify and prosecute those involved to maintain public order.
