Israel Eliya Peretz Dies in Serious Car Accident in Golan Heights

Israel Eliya Peretz from the moshav Alon in the Golan Heights was killed in a severe car accident on Route 98 near Afik Junction on Sunday afternoon. The crash involved two private vehicles and resulted in nine additional injuries, including one man in his 30s moderately hurt and eight others with minor injuries. Firefighters from the Galil-Golan station used hydraulic rescue tools to extract Peretz from one of the vehicles. Despite medical teams' efforts on site, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Yehuda Doa, head of the Katzrin local council, expressed condolences to the Peretz family, highlighting Israel Peretz's dedication to the community and his role as a respected rabbi. Doa emphasized the community's support for the family during this difficult time and wished them no further sorrow.
