On the seventh day of mourning for Yaakov Aharon Farber, a prominent Haredi activist for IDF recruitment, a video was released in which he reflects on how his illness and treatments deepened his prayer and connection to God. The clip, from the Belz Hasidic program 'Ta'am Veda'at,' features Farber recounting his difficult hospital experiences and the spiritual insights he gained through suffering. He described feeling helpless during his illness and explained how prayer and reciting Psalms became his sole source of vitality.

Farber highlighted a verse from Psalms, 'Your rod and your staff, they comfort me,' discussing the paradox of how God's rod, symbolizing suffering, can also bring comfort. He explained that receiving this 'rod' intensified his prayers and spiritual attachment, creating a unique joy and closeness to God that ordinary life does not offer. He concluded by expressing gratitude for this spiritual gift, stating that despite the hardships, the deep connection and prayer were the greatest blessings God gave him.
