Niv Eliasi Joins Greek Club Levadiakos on Loan from Hapoel Be'er Sheva
Niv Eliasi, a goalkeeper formerly with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, has signed on loan with Greek club Levadiakos. The deal includes an option for Levadiakos to purchase Eliasi for one million euros. Eliasi is expected to earn 300,000 euros per season during his loan.
Eliasi was once considered one of Israel's most promising goalkeepers and served as Be'er Sheva's first-choice keeper for several seasons. However, his position weakened toward the end of last season when he was replaced by Ofir Marciano. Be'er Sheva recently signed Marco Wolf from Maccabi Petah Tikva, further diminishing Eliasi's prospects at the club.
Eliasi's last appearance for Be'er Sheva was in a final-season match against Maccabi Haifa, where Marciano was rested ahead of the State Cup final. The Greek league club Levadiakos already features several Israeli players, including Hisham Layous, Joel Abu Hanna, and former Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Haifa player Alan Ozbolt.
