Hapoel Tel Aviv Sells 2,000 Tickets for Polish Match as Fans Boost European Ambitions

Following impressive wins against Ludogorets, Hapoel Tel Aviv continues to pursue a spot in the UEFA Conference League, aiming to return to European competition for the first time since the 2012/13 season. The team's strong performances have been supported by a large turnout of fans, who attended matches in Hungary and Bulgaria. Ahead of their third qualifying round match against Poland's Katowice, Hapoel sold 2,000 tickets to their supporters, while the Polish club was allocated a minimum of 600 tickets for their fans.

Katowice finished fifth in their domestic league last season and have a squad valued at approximately 13.2 million euros, comparable to Hapoel's squad worth around 13.6 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. A notable player for Katowice is Belarusian striker Ilya Shkurin, who previously played for Israeli club Maccabi Petah Tikva, scoring 14 goals in 30 appearances. Shkurin was the top scorer for Katowice last season with nine goals and played a key role in their recent victory over Žilina, securing their advancement to face Hapoel.
