National Security Minister Approves Gun Licenses for Residents in Parts of Beersheba

Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's Minister of National Security, announced the approval of gun license eligibility for residents in certain neighborhoods of Beersheba. Tens of thousands of residents in specific streets within the Ramat, Kalaniot, Neve Noy, Neot Lon, and Sigliot neighborhoods will be able to apply for personal firearm licenses. Ben-Gvir emphasized that residents of Beersheba, like all Israeli citizens, have a fundamental right to protect themselves and their families. He stated, "My policy is clear: weapons in the right hands save lives." This decision marks a significant policy shift aimed at enhancing personal security in these areas.
