Security Analyst Roy Danino Joins Israel First Party Led by MK Sharren Haskel

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Roy Danino announced on Sunday his decision to join the Israel First party, headed by Member of Knesset Sharren Haskel. Danino, 40, is a security and economic analyst for Channel 14 and Kan 11, and has served over 600 days in reserve duty during Operation Sword of Iron. He explained that his move into politics is a continuation of his public service mission.

Danino, a married father of five, has a diverse background including combat service in the Nahal Brigade, staff officer roles in a division, entrepreneurship, and business advising for security companies and municipalities. The party highlighted his focus on promoting deregulation, tax reduction, lowering the cost of living, and strengthening national resilience. Additionally, Danino volunteers to support reservists and business owners affected economically.

In his statement, Danino said, "After more than 600 days in the field and reserves, I realized the mission does not end when you take off the uniform." He chose to join Haskel because he sees her as "clean and pragmatic leadership that puts the country's interests above all else." He expressed pride in helping build the alternative Israel deserves.

MK Sharren Haskel welcomed Danino, emphasizing that he represents the serving, working public who bear the national burden. She praised his combination of military and business experience, saying he brings "the real connection to life that politics needs." Haskel described Israel First as a home for "the patriotic, serving, and entrepreneurial right-wing," concluding with, "I am proud Roy is with us. Welcome."
