Former Shin Bet and Mossad Operative Deborah Sharifian Joins Gadi Eizenkot's Yashar Party

Gadi Eizenkot, chairman of the Yashar party, announced the addition of Deborah Sharifian, a former operative of both Shin Bet and Mossad, to his political team. Sharifian, 44, lives in Kibbutz Eilot in southern Israel. She was born in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution and was smuggled to Israel with her family at age seven.

Sharifian began her career in Shin Bet as a field operative, participating in counterterrorism operations and operational intelligence gathering as part of the "Tequila Team." She later joined Mossad, serving in operational and intelligence roles. Eventually, she worked as an analyst specializing in big data and cyber domains within the agency.

In addition to her intelligence career, Sharifian founded and established an excellence program in the Israeli education system called "Security and Intelligence in the Iran Track" in Eilat. Her diverse background in security and intelligence is expected to contribute to Eizenkot's party platform and activities moving forward.
