Far-Right US Figures Unite to Form New Political Movement Targeting Republican Control
A group of former US Congress members, senior White House officials, and influential far-right figures have announced plans to establish a new political movement aimed at seizing control of the Republican Party and ultimately winning the White House. Leading the initiative is prominent far-right commentator Tucker Carlson, who hosted key separatist and antisemitic voices at his home, including former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Congressman Thomas Massie, and ex-White House official Joe Kent. The group began discussions and planning for the movement, which appears focused on reshaping the Republican Party's leadership.
Marjorie Taylor Greene described the meeting as a rejection of further foreign wars and expressed disillusionment with Donald Trump, whom she accused of betrayal despite his initial promises. She emphasized a commitment to "America first for all Americans, right, left, and center," signaling the start of the movement. Each of these figures has a history of extreme anti-Israel and antisemitic statements: Greene previously claimed Jews used space lasers to start wildfires in the US and was the first Republican congresswoman to vote against any aid to Israel. Massie has spread conspiracy theories accusing Israel of orchestrating Jeffrey Epstein's pedophilia to blackmail US politicians. Joe Kent resigned from the White House in protest of the Iran war, stating in his resignation letter that his wife, a US soldier killed in Syria, "died for Israel."
Tucker Carlson, considered a leading figure in the separatist far-right, is rumored to lead the new movement and has previously floated presidential ambitions. He is also closely connected to US Vice President J.D. Vance, whose son recently worked in Vance's office. Carlson has repeatedly expressed hatred and disdain for Israel, including claims that Israel assassinated President Kennedy in the 1960s and was responsible for the 9/11 attacks, alongside numerous other antisemitic remarks.
This emerging coalition represents a consolidation of far-right, anti-Israel, and antisemitic voices within American politics, aiming to reshape the Republican Party and influence US national policy.
