Tiberias Football Club Faces Disciplinary Hearing, Likely Point Deduction

Tiberias Football Club is scheduled to appear before the disciplinary tribunal of the Israeli Football Association this Wednesday regarding the 'guarantees case.' The club is expected to face an additional points deduction, following a previous six-point penalty related to double contract violations ahead of the upcoming season. This hearing follows a formal complaint filed by M.S. Ashdod, the team that initially raised concerns about Tiberias' use of guarantees. The complaint led to a severe indictment by the association and an unprecedented demand from the World Anti-Doping Agency to ban key club officials, including owner Miki Beitan, coach Eliran Hodeda, and technical manager Chen Sol, from sports involvement for six years or permanently.

Despite Ashdod's efforts, it appears unlikely they will benefit by remaining in the Premier League at Tiberias' expense. Ashdod finished the regular season approximately eight points behind Tiberias, meaning even if the tribunal allows Ashdod to participate in the legal proceedings, they are expected to continue playing in the National League next season.
