Israeli NGOs Seek Volunteers Nationwide for Social Support and Community Services

Several Israeli non-profit organizations are actively recruiting volunteers across the country to support vulnerable populations through various initiatives. The "Ruach Tova" association, part of the Arison Group, connects volunteers with thousands of NGOs and local authorities to promote volunteering nationwide. "Survivors" is seeking volunteers aged 18 and over to provide companionship and support to Holocaust survivors living alone, involving regular home visits or phone calls on a flexible weekly schedule.

In northern Israel, the "Lev Hesh" association near Rambam Hospital in Haifa is looking for workshop facilitators in areas such as movement, creativity, and emotional well-being to support parents of children with cancer. Volunteers can commit to one-time or ongoing sessions on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 18:30. In the Sharon region, "SOS Animals" in Kfar Shmaryahu needs volunteers to assist with animal adoption days on Saturdays, helping supervise and care for homeless dogs and cats.

In central Israel, the Education Advancement Association in Tel Aviv-Jaffa seeks volunteers with vehicles to help distribute food to needy families, with flexible hours Sunday through Thursday. In Jerusalem, the "Merpa LeNefesh" organization in Beit Shemesh supports adults aged 25 to 70 with mental health challenges by recruiting volunteers for personal or group mentoring, including emotional support and activities outside the hostel, available weekdays from 13:00 to 19:00.

Finally, in the south, the "Be'er Sheva" association, founded in 1999 to aid elderly residents in financial need, is looking for volunteers aged 20 and above to assist in their community restaurant.
