U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering ordering military strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure within the coming days, according to a senior American official. Although no final decision has been made, energy sites are reportedly the primary focus of these potential attacks.

This development follows reports of a tanker being damaged near Oman's coast by an unidentified weapon about 20 kilometers northeast of Lima, Oman, causing damage to the ship's engine room. Meanwhile, Yemen's Houthi movement denied claims that it plans to impose fees on vessels passing through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, assuring that maritime passage remains free.

Iranian news agency Tasnim, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, quoted a senior security official warning that Iran has prepared a broad response plan targeting critical infrastructure in Israel and U.S. energy facilities in the region. Additionally, Iranian media outlet Fars published a list of global energy sites within the range of Iranian missiles, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Israel's Tamar and Leviathan gas fields.
