According to a report by Arab News on Thursday, an Iranian source indicated that a ceasefire between the United States and Iran could be declared within the next 24 hours, facilitated by mediation efforts from Pakistan and Qatar. Concurrently, a spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that all possible efforts are underway to bring Iran and the US back to the negotiating table.

Earlier, American officials told NBC News that President Donald Trump recently expressed intense frustration during a security briefing on the Iran conflict, yelling and cursing at senior military officials due to their inability to agree on a clear strategy. A close associate of Trump revealed that the president's frustration also stems from Iran's steadfast refusal to negotiate, noting that Trump did not anticipate the difficulty in reaching a deal or the prolonged duration of the conflict.

Additionally, a senior Israeli official disclosed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Trump in a recent meeting that the primary goal is achieving the desired outcome regarding Iran's nuclear program, rather than advancing any specific military action. The official emphasized that any military decision rests with Trump unless Iran chooses to attack Israel, warning that "there are no free attacks, and the Iranians understand Israel will respond."

The meeting between Netanyahu and Trump focused on three options concerning Iran: a diplomatic agreement, continued economic pressure, or a large-scale military strike. The discussion was open and thorough, weighing the pros and cons of each path without pushing for a predetermined choice. The official noted that while economic sanctions are already heavily impacting the Iranian regime, the military option remains viable.
