Hapoel Tel Aviv pushes to finalize Diarra signing before training opens

Hapoel Tel Aviv is continuing efforts to complete the signing of Reims winger Thiemoko Diarra, hoping to wrap up the deal before preseason training begins. After selling Louizos Louizou to Red Star Belgrade, the club has shifted its focus to the Mali international.

The Reds have already reached a basic agreement with Reims on the transfer fee. The current stage is intensive talks with Diarra’s representatives to finalize his personal contract and secure his move to Hapoel.

Diarra is also in daily contact with his friend from Hapoel Haifa, Fernand Mayembo. The report adds that the club wants to finish the deal quickly, before the squad returns to training.

Separately, Hapoel Tel Aviv has decided that Dor Binyamini, who served last season as the third goalkeeper behind Asaf Tzur and Ged Amos, will be the team’s backup goalkeeper this season. He has therefore been given the chance to start against Beitar Jerusalem. Binyamini joined Hapoel Tel Aviv three seasons ago from Maccabi Petah Tikva, spent one season in the youth side, and was the second goalkeeper during the club’s promotion season from the National League. The 21-year-old has also become the senior goalkeeper for Israel’s U21 team and started six matches in Guy Luzon’s European Championship qualifying campaign.
