Former Channel 14 Panelist Mor Dekel Joins Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu Party

Mor Dekel, previously known as a regular commentator on Channel 14, announced on Thursday her decision to join the Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman. This move is considered surprising as Dekel, who has been identified with the right-wing media sector, is now aligning herself with a party positioned firmly in the opposition bloc alongside figures like Gadi Eisenkot and Yair Golan.

Dekel brings extensive experience in social and educational fields, having served as chairperson of the Israeli branch of the World Organization for Early Childhood, led a related nonprofit, and acted as an advisor on early childhood issues to the mayor of Petah Tikva. She is also a graduate of prestigious leadership programs "Kerem" and "At Lechanuch" at the Mandel Institute and has been a respected commentator on social, educational, and public policy matters in recent years.

Upon joining Yisrael Beiteinu, Dekel stated, "The State of Israel faces unprecedented security, economic, and social challenges. To address them, a strong and experienced leader who can make decisive decisions is required." She added, "I support Avigdor Lieberman for prime minister because I believe he brings experience, responsibility, determination, and the ability to execute."
